The initiative has a partnership with Escenamateur – Confederación de Teatro Amateur and with the support of the Municipality of Sertã, Clube da Sertã, Rádio Condestável and A Comarca da Sertã newspaper. The Iberian Theater Festival takes place annually, alternating Portugal and Spain. It should be noted that the last edition took place in the Spanish towns of Mérida and Garrovilla in October 2020. The Iberian Theater Festival appeared at the V Permanent Forum of Amadores Theater, held in Ansião (Portugal), in 2010, being the first edition held in 2014. The initiative aims to show the best amateur theater in the Iberian Peninsula, praising the work of the companies, while providing public recognition, sharing and exchange of shows and experiences, bringing together the companies of both countries.
